Sr. Director of Global Sales & Customer Operations
Andy Russell leads the effort to enable the Nike Sales mission to “Create, Transform and Lead the Marketplace” with people, process and technology. Andy is responsible for leading the Sales & Customer Operations function globally in three primary areas: 1. Global Sales eCommerce- managing the nike.net b2b portal in 75 countries, 26 languages on a single global platform, 2. Global Sales Intelligence-providing sales analysis and reporting, and 3. Global Customer Operations- providing strategy, process and technology leadership to Customer Service and Account Operations. Andy also serves as a Global Process leader ensuring strategic alignment and enterprise integration between Sales and other functions.
A ten-year veteran of Nike, Andy previously held roles in Supply Chain, Strategic Planning, Customer Development, Process Innovation and Transition Management. Prior to joining Nike, Andy worked in a number of different industries including Investment Banking in New York and Chicago, Venture Capital in Germany helping to privatize companies after the wall came down and Management Consulting in San Francisco with CSC Index, the firm that wrote the book on Reengineering. It was in this last capacity that Andy became involved with Nike first as a consultant on a Footwear Product Creation project and then as the change and transition management leader for Nike’s global ERP implementation.
Outside of work, Andy is active in the community as a youth coach in Soccer, Football, Basketball and Lacrosse. An avid outdoorsman, Andy enjoys fishing, skiing and hiking in the Great Northwest with his wife and two boys. Andy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Dartmouth College and an MBA in Organizational Behavior, International Management and Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern.
